Multisite. Multilevel. Multitask.

Is your large enterprise presented with the formidable challenge of enforcing an organization-wide technology retirement policy? TechDisposal has the depth of experience and breadth of capabilities to effectively dispose of your technology assets at the end-of-life stage. Mitigate your risk of violating SOX404, HIPAA, and EPA requirements and deliver satisfactory ROI.

Multisite capabilities

We provide your organization with a consistent, controlled process that considers the needs of diverse corporate cultures and locations. Our experts help you determine the most cost-effective methods of packaging and transporting your assets from one or more sites to our facility, using any of several large reliable shipping companies in the United States.

Multilevel concerns

TechDisposal is acutely aware of the financial, logistical and legal burdens associated with disposing of large quantities of retired IT assets. Therefore, we provide you with a complete audit report, certificate of destruction and letter of indemnification. This verifies that data erasure or destruction has been performed and that the remaining content has been disposed of in compliance with local, state, federal and EPA regulations.

Gone for good

Some retired assets have no market value. When that’s the case, TechDisposal provides data sanitation and recycling solutions to meet your specific needs. We can relieve you of the burden of disposing of your IT assets, as well as related hardware, such as fax machines, printers, POS equipment, cell phones, telephone systems and monitors.

Multiplying your assets’ value

Retired assets that are functional and fewer than five years old can be sold on the secondary market through our remarketing program.

Experience. Insight. Value.

For large-scale retirement projects, TechDisposal offers experienced management that will help you determine which solution will deploy the best ROI in an environmentally fair fashion.

Through personal interaction with your company's project manager and/or project teams — whether face-to-face, online, via phone or a combination of these methods — our experts create a scope of work and customized plan that defines and guides the project from planning to implementation to reporting and measuring the returned value.

We handle everything

Asset retirement can be complex and sometimes requires multiple vendors to handle shipping, packaging, sorting, inventory, data destruction, logistics, disposal and recycling. Let TechDisposal’s qualified staff handle all of these aspects of your technology disposal needs. As with everything related to technology end-of-life retirement, we handle this intricate process with efficiency and professionalism.

We make certain your equipment is secure in a variety of ways.

Before shipping, if data remains on the incoming drives, we can provide a “stealth cleaner” for you to load on all drives before they are boxes. This cleaner initiates complete drive erasure the next time the computer is booted up, thus making it impossible to recover data from the drives in the event the equipment is stolen.

We also provide on-site data-wiping services. We can completely overwrite multiple drives at your locations, with our sanitation stations, to further ensure that no data leaves your premises.

For shipping, the load is boxed or palletized, sealed or shrink-wrapped, loaded and padlocked. If you prefer, we use a numbered seal to isolate your shipment as further security against tampering.

Whether yours is a one-site private business or a multilocation branch of the government, your equipment is safely and securely transported to our facilities in Columbus, Ohio, by certified haulers who are experienced with the specialized transportation of electronics.

Record. Test. Report.

TechDisposal performs a detailed audit and inventory of your equipment. Each piece is recorded by serial number and assigned a unique identifier in our system.

All installed items are inventoried, a complete functionality testing of the item is conducted, and electronic reporting of the finished audit is provided.

Privacy. Protection. Verification.

Sarbanes-Oxley. HIPAA. EPA. These few terms can halt a conversation and shift the mood in a boardroom. In today’s demanding business world, discerning executives know that their challenges are more serious than ever with new laws and regulations that impact records management programs and, quite possibly, a company’s status.

Businesses across all industries must address multiple regulatory requirements which limit how long companies are required to maintain records and in what manner they can dispose of them. Keeping data longer than required by law opens your company up to potential legal risk.

TechDisposal can help you mitigate those risks to your company with multiple methods for the destruction of media.

Degaussing

The media is run over a high-powered magnet. The data is destroyed, but the media is unharmed and can be resold or redeployed back to your company.

Data Wiping

The data is destroyed using the Department of Defense issued data erasure software. This results in the complete removal of all residing data yet leaves the media unharmed and available for re-imaging, remarketing or redeployment.

We use the data erasure standard (DoD 5220.22-M Erase) used by The Department of Defense to sanitize your drives. This process will permanently erase system files, programs files, viruses and all of your data; safeguarding your software licensing agreements.

All confidential and proprietary data is secured.

  • Removal of embedded logins and passwords
  • Removal of intellectual property
  • Removal of client data and personal information
  • Removal of proprietary application

Physical Destruction

For media that requires an extra level of security or for media that cannot be degaussed, wiped, or has no remarketable value, it is processed through our industrial shredder which is capable of processing 10,000 data tapes per hour, resulting in small, unreadable bits of plastic.

As with all other of our services you will receive a detailed audit report, certificate of destruction, and waiver of liability.

Low cost, High Return. Customized solutions.

Redeployment, the reconfiguration of your company’s used technology assets, is a cost-effective and efficient option for aging assets within your organization, as well as for redistributing charitable donations.

If there are areas within your own organization that could use the refurbished equipment, TechDisposal can pickup, sanitize and test the equipment prior to redeployment. Should you elect to donate the assets, we can properly sanitize the hard drives so you won’t worry about your company’s sensitive data being harvested.

Low cost

TechDisposal’s complete redeployment services include receipt, sorting, refurbishment, imaging, storage and redistribution.

High return

By giving new life to your equipment when it is refurbished and donated to worthwhile non-profit organizations, you gain the high return of doing a good deed as well as earn tax benefits.

Customized solutions

For each piece of technology equipment that is reclaimed and redeployed, there are often accessories such as monitors, servers, laptops and cartridges that must also be retired and recycled. We can customize your redeployment solution to suit your needs.

Responsive. Responsible. Reliable.

We take our recycling seriously because we take our environment seriously.

Zero Landfill Policy

Long before it was popular to recycle as a practice in homes and businesses, TechDisposal designed recycling processes that would enliven the technology industry. It was during this time that TechDisposal established the Zero Landfill Policy which supports the 100% recycling of valueless technology.

By keeping pace with advanced environmental studies, we anticipated the need to keep the lands free from technology waste — and to keep you compliant with the growing number of laws enacted for this same purpose.

EPA Compliant

Electronic equipment may contain lead, chromium, cadmium, mercury and other dangerous components. Proper disposal and handling of these materials is essential for the protection of our environment and your organization’s reputation.

For older or non-functional equipment we perform a fully EPA compliant disposal. Our clients receive a complete Waiver of Liability for all disposed and recycled pieces.

As a client, you can select a single charity or set preferences for charities to donate equipment that can be refurbished for a second life, or allocate equipment values to charities. We even help you monitor donations for tax and public relations purposes.

Charities and Schools Receive

Qualifying not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions may receive allowances based on client allocations, as well as browse for and buy equipment with their charity allowances online.

New! PCs for Promise Program

TechDisposal brings technology to life for bright but underprivileged students by providing refurbished computers.

TechDisposal founder and CEO, Sepp Rajaie, has established a program to donate refurbished personal computers to promising students from schools in low socio-economic neighborhoods and communities. Mr. Rajaie is working directly with the principals of such schools to identify students who may qualify for a free PC by maintaining a Grade Point Average of 3.5 or greater. The donated computers are intended for educational purposes such as Internet research, writing reports, preparing presentations, performing remediation work, learning keyboard skills, and working with various other software applications.
